where the winds touch true

where the winds touch true
by tanner brockwell
where the winds touch true
there in the dusk of blue
five petals show hue
a flower through and through
basked upon the shining dew
for hope and chance too
dreams are gifts most new
glances as a single clue
arrows as we only knew
the weathered winds that blew

for a glimpse

for a glimpse
by tanner brockwell
for a glimpse
the cloth worn
shining sparkle
and jewels bejewel
the drape intentional
garb delayed
the edges worn
but nothing frayed
there before
the wicks asleep
there is a shape
that memory to keep
and though cared for
the soft fabric waits
for a message
for something deep
this is a construction
of fabulous fantasy
that holds breath
for air and air is sweet

i would

i would
by tanner brockwell
i would
with finger
on lips
hush and sigh
where dreams would slip
and there
hope flies
winged as a dove
that soaring loves
only the sky
