really wanted to share this has a little written story of a Navajo sand painting about the healing ceremony hard to find anything on traditional ceremony this has a tradition song /chant and a sand painter/holy man painting one for ceremony.i have been to a few healing ceremonies. i was honored to cook for the medicine man.beautiful art.but only for ceremony use the end it is gathered in a hand made bag by the medicine man smudged blessed taken far into the canyons buried back into the earth with prayer the medicine man preforms on his own. they do navajo sand painting for art sale as well. i have 2 small sand painting.trail of tears is one.one that looks a little one of these.

Oh my yes…I agree with Tanner…..this gives me chills!!! Incredible!!!! I also watched the connecting videos…So interesting…Thank you for posting this!!! How blessed you are to have experienced these traditions! Since I was a child and since I’ve had an interest in Native American and Egyptian traditions and culture…(have no idea why about the Egyptian part…lol )
But for me they are an exciting mystery of our beginnings. And the Native American interest was spurred on by the town where I grew up.
A couple of streets over from where I lived was about an acre or so of land, that was a scared ancient Indian burial mound…
Of course many a child went on digs…and came up with arrow heads and the such…I longed to do that also but felt it was kind of like hallowed ground..
Today…..I would do it but only for historical purposes…

yay its been a pretty peaceful day. working in the flower beds getting right down and personal with mother earth lol you come across a weed you knows a weed has this cute little flower know it will spread. its like awww why did you have to bloom. your so pretty. so i pulled the rest around it left it. get it the next time. then the storm came wash the earth clean. with warning of tornado .no touch down its all good. sending hugs smiles to all tanner always xoxo^^^^xoxo

I love the entire album but yes I agree…..it is the best song on the album!!! His newest album comes out on September 14th…can’t wait!!!…In the meantime, can you believe this….he is completely booked on an ongoing world concert tour!!! (Seriously…The world over!) Amazing!!! And get this….in Croatia alone, sixteen of Mr. Cohen’s albums appeared on this week’s Croatian Top 40 album chart!!!
