the totality is
by Tanner Brockwell
the totality is
subsumed
in the whole
and compassed round
and round and round
corners met rising
to the slopping canopy
billowing in the wind
moves in and out
moves as a ruffle
the grace of all
rolling like gentle
winds across
the face of the hills
caught in the fancy
mere imagery
the fantastic show
dancing across
your eyes resting
the flickering flame
puffs and wicks
caught in a gust
winds that blew and blew
arriving from far
continuing on again
a journey in that vastness
