a vendor chosen

a vendor chosen
by tanner brockwell

a vendor chosen
or ignored
the messenger was sent
and sending so
for long past sudden
it was long past overdue
the inter twixt or a sudden trick
so mate or for chosen
the handmade tales
each one chosen
dispatched with even intent
for ignorance for grace
for the loneliest time
tired dark shuttered eye
into the light borne because
the time was right and after all
this was a garden quite
tended with quiet hands
that each blossom gathered
and tenderly prepared
were dispatched so oddly
not like the others
left for loneliness
the emissary
a strange force
strange circumstance
were they counted
before left
before the odd and lame
so these tokens
passed from the hand
destroy all that is at hand
and leaving only memories
of the quiet and the strange

  1. Beautiful! Such creative and original wording… I especially liked the lines, “for long past sudden it was long past overdue.” & “the time was right and after all this was a garden quite.” Exquisite piece.
