anachronistic words
by tanner brockwell

anachronistic words
to appear before speech
appear translucent beseech
to vanish warm exhalations
tickling fancy fancy that fancy
and words are artifacts
retrieved from ancient climes
that have a shiny jingle
couched and then thrill
bolting in aether lo they are still
as the mist they are quiet
curling around this reality
fingers moist touch blossoms
that for dawn and day are born
prancing steps upon the flat stone
touching the nights left dew
