and when in mornings sun

and when in mornings sun
by tanner brockwell
and when in mornings sun
light bright
we sleepily crawl from bed
the soft snow is piled up
in drifts like crushed diamonds
and chill though cold
would be chill we slept
so sound that dreams
were like crystal ice
that immobile was frozen in sleep
good morning frozen lake
good morning quiet trees
good morning
