dreamt the symbols
dreamt the symbols
by tanner brockwell
dreamt the symbols
of clime for once
immutably strange
they were glyphs
of passing fronts
rising lowering
ready me for warmth
and culpably feign
not new quarters
only the repetition
of a string of days
strung as orbs
upon the weft
of a silken home
dancing as new dawn
with westerly
sparkles and laughs
rapt attend this is unique
this is when
the last night change
drifts into dimming memory
that newest and fine
a remarkable thing
any old time
is a newly won prize
so rightly here
so awesomely see
this is wonderous and free
