footsteps on the path
elusive moments
someone before was here
and i am walking walking walking
steps upon the gravel light
impressions signifying a moment
when someone was here before
and i am walking walking walking
did i rise too early for dawn
over anxious that i too would be late
but you — you beat me to it
only to leave the soft imprint
of steps upon this morning path
