for a glimpse

for a glimpse
by tanner brockwell

for a glimpse
the cloth worn
shining sparkle
and jewels bejewel
the drape intentional
garb delayed
the edges worn
but nothing frayed
there before
the wicks asleep
there is a shape
that memory to keep
and though cared for
the soft fabric waits
for a message
for something deep
this is a construction
of fabulous fantasy
that holds breath
for air and air is sweet
