the soft times you are with me
worlds apart yet near
holding you close and dear

i’m resting beneath the sun
times of must and run
are gone in their furious haste
the fragrance and taste

of some brand new world
emergent from a chaotic whirl
the welcome and deserved rest
only you would make it best
