here on hypnotic beach
by tanner brockwell

here on hypnotic beach
i have left the prints
of my passing
the sand is wet with surf
and my steps zigging across
the sands wet with the tide
rising and moving across
the water drenched sands
i see the shells
on this beach
in the washed sand
and i look for a white one
the empty home
of some small being
gone for a voyage
beyond that sea
