how does the flower

how does the flower
by tanner brockwell

how does the flower
taste to the bee
taste of essence of to be
to see or totally
suffice subsume sublime
surrounded petals
pastel infused
the morning flush
the rising heady rush
wings brush
the kiss brief
lingering
longer and longer
how deep was sleep
to wake to rise
in morning in sun rose
above the wild horizon
that wakes in bliss
after the throes of stormy night
when the rising tide brought waves
that lapped the edge of the white beach
that lingering embrace
while tide was high and nigh
the washing waves on high and high
and higher to the petals see
that full of hints of this of bliss
would place a kiss upon the lips
that warms the heart with a wish
