i have the orb pink espied

i have the orb pink espied
by tanner brockwell

i have the orb pink espied
that rising standard
lo a new day here
the air in agitation
blows from the back
having a night without rest
waited anticipating
rosy red the tinged sky turned
warming as the chill slipped away
the crumbles of the firm sand
under my legs
this way
i stayed awake
the senses wired
not sure if i would sleep
then like a wave over me
a second wind an energy
that kept me in the dark night
from slipping this bond
not for a soaring
but the constant aware
of this that is here and here
small messengers in battalions
the wide sands stormed
and now that the sun lights
they are the ghosts of the night sky
memories of their movement
a dance upon a hidden place
hidden in dark shades
that faded with the rose rising sun
lo this is a day
a day like no other
nor nought for longing sought
these dancing rays
will dance all day
