it starts ecstatic

it starts ecstatic
the slow expectation
the lumber and lurch
the grinding gear crunch
and leap a suddenly
down down to go
cold as cold so
dollar and dollar
and back up again
this is the way
i thought you were a friend
look out the city below
look out heres some more snow
and chilling waiting a bit
then riding riding
crossing the bridge
take your pick
day is slowing a while
things in the city
finding a smile
taking a stop
theres a hop and a jump
and mechanically thrown
a very good time
