kindred as soul

kindred as soul
by tanner brockwell

kindred as soul
no as two
are as one
familiar and distinct
the pathos so we weep
glad tidings so would fall
full familiar
the aspect of a haunted way
the steps traced here
are gone away
and echoes are feintly thrown
to cast enchantment upon this home
for wakeful glances i take again
to wish dreams are sweet my dearest friend
