needle points
upon the velvet face
sooty rich and deep
there in the rich night
quiet as the hush
the air feels charged
pinpoints of energy
radiant and glints
this dark tapestry draped
across the sky
dusted with motes of light
into and through
larger points commanding view
and further on
the milky dust
of size and scale
that spins my mind
and the fire is a memory
as almost these lights i see
and when i rise in dawn
the world is complete
