obscure before intent
is this a gift or something lent
tiny rooms i see
here is my hand oh where are thee?
in the night in the day
in any place in any way
reflections constant
the shimmer of want
i have yet one word
have you yet one word
any time a familiar refrain
loading luggage night train
toppled ages again
message for a dear friend
i long last have thought of why
no reason could begin to try
take your wonders take caresses
take the soft evening restless
wrap it in a million melodies
silver amongst the trees
just before you felt the rising dew
an answer once and true
if all the while you waited then
i’d have this smile my nearest friend
