play

play
by tanner brockwell

play
the words
cascade in tumble
mumbled jumbled
tones
that high and rising
oh surprising
the fragments of
another sound
the dew drenched sense
in morning less
amongst the scrub
there fly
the emotions launch
tethers brush
in a freedom then
dangling daring down
up until
motion
motion
the so thrilling
as muscles try
try as willing
and thus a soar
so sublime
and thus a glide
for even time
