saving only once
by tanner brockwell

saving only once
words can become
for only some
what was trust
not a daily trek
yet this was a step
a walk we went
so talk of this
your hand is close
you hold the most
i wish sweet dreams
you wish it seems
there is a cold night
there is a single light
i’ll wish for more
will you wish with me
