soul survive
by tanner brockwell

soul survive
where the winds had wrapped
amongst the lone outstood tree
upon the craggy rock
before the slope
up to certain then
the awe inspired
or troubled hand
dashed with lights
and falling fog
the warbled blast
the dangerous lash
of driving gale
and thunderous peal
that twist of fate
on the edge of maps
mariners sung
a chanting gait
they passed rocks
they passed the shore
they carried on
a sailing home
