sweeter than and almost
by tanner brockwell

sweeter than and almost
tang and yang
transported from
cold climes in time
unto the sweet beaches
stirred sultry
the sands bleached timbers
the drifted woods
parched salty dry
washed along the shore
waiting in the ringed tone
carried far from home
shed smooth bark
left the texture finished
kindled on the golden glowing sand
a pure blue flame
almost burning without smoke
creeping runner of flame
runs the entirety
racing higher and higher
the rays falling on the white heat
hot flames burned blue and light
coals to keep all through the night
