the walls of the tidal pool
wet and glisten
small life in stasis
this wonder
of quiet nature
turmoil only a few yards away
but here is
small ideas
small horizons
small compass
from some fearful step
left an aeon ago
in the wet
and silent
there is a life
complex yet circumspect
near to the sea
near enough for me
