the air was fused
2010/03/02 in poems
the air was fused
by tanner brockwell
the air was fused
the chilling evening
with the be-dusted beam
between
ridges around
the teacup
the hyper action beam
like a guy-wire holding
the two sides of the table
together
there were other beams
they stood silent or hummed
with the pulse of electric life
wonder
marvel
filed away
and then forgotten
until today
when they returned
the acrid dry dust
a distant memory
