the radial arms

the radial arms
of the farthest star
rotating between
scrunched view
a wish or two
a merriment
a chance encounter
a fearless wander
the dusted note
orderly found
was written once
for a certain sound
i reread i reread
i hearken to
if this isn’t me
then it might be you
the words are smudged
in pencil wrought
they speak of a time
of tender thoughts
and though they’re dim
and hard to see
i knew that once
you thought of me
