the string below is taunt

the string below is taut
and the ribbons upon the tail
twist in the upper currents
of the tessellated fabric
a joyful shape
dipping and soaring
motion most pure
and down down below
there is a small hand
holding the twine
this ethereal line
that holds the sky so tight
to the grassy field
and there is a smile
that goes for miles
