the world without

10:34 in poems by Tanner

the world without
by tanner brockwell

the world without
so softly send
the scent of far islands
far inland
that they become
memories
legends of movement
that drifted across
the sand the shore
where they be
so become
the message of movement
a life lived
inspired
breathe the deep relief
wafting fragrant
some scent of coconut
sultry in the falling night
