there were the grace of line

09:19 in poems by Tanner

there were the grace of line
by tanner brockwell

there were the grace of line
the touch of time
turning mirth in wise
dancing before the eyes
and the skies deep awful shown
tear as amber far from run
there among forgetful homes
sifted trinket careless thrown
lifted relief on stone forms perplexed
the crisscross cacophony
the sky promises blue today
blue for once is all i say
tufts of candy clouds forth reign
a majesty a mighty crown
only the rolling
as silent form
they move to find only distance
a confined dance
eternal cyclical oh refined
these are the matters
this is the time
