this is the quite sublime
by tanner brockwell

this is the quite sublime
ohh for certain
for a time
that gossamer
that only air
was beneath the greeny bough
there in the wood
the quiet good
there is no other clime
just earthy silence
the loam was soft under foot
and i reached for the dew
caught in silken stretch
and they were jewels
round bright as shown
and found as once they were
reflections of a quick passing
this is what you see
greened leaf
spiders home
the morning quick
in rising dew
and it slowly changed
the sun is risen
on a sunny day
