warning of ice
by tanner brockwell (cc) 2007

warning of ice
yet the fire kindles
a chill breath on nape
the trembling still
oh why
ecstasy in extreme
ivory and silk
fire come save me
burning flame
where hand would dwell
with firmament in play
a night a day yet certain stay
rocking upon a gentle wave
so close so far
the rocky beach
quiet before the dawn could rise
and dawn will come another day
the one that passed drifts away
and slumber finds a weary head
that dares to dream of love instead
