webbed into the mosaic

webbed into the mosaic
by tanner brockwell

webbed into the mosaic
the shards appear colors
known tones
the semblance of shape
a form illusory
a matter betwixt
the hidden breath
the inward west
where nations met
heroes fell
the soft foot tread
of wilderness way
i hope to see
a harvest moon
a sudden dawn upon the day
and sleeping caution
slips away
for stars are missed
from seasons past
oh how the chorus brings
each note to say
here is a wonder now
here is most new things
where have you hid it
but quite close i say
your beating heart
gives you away
there is no new day
unless there is a day with you
the path leads not away
but only to something true
walk this wood
i shall show you then
webbed into
the mosaic the shards appear
colors that i cannot show
for they are fragments
of some falling star
wishes sent have landed here
and what was far suddenly
suddenly appears
oh how the chorus brings
known tones

  1. Sigh… , quite lovely. I would quote the words that stole my breath, but i am afraid, i would have to retype the entire poem. I wonder what chorus you refer to, it must bring heaven to earth if it inspired this.
