when the mystery aroused

2008/02/16 in poems

on the occasion
by tanner brockwell

when the mystery aroused
the walking path
between the stack
a hidden tome
the almost lone
for seeking then
well wait awhile
to hardly know
the white daubed skin
would welcome in
and past the bones
or plaster thrones
to linger even when
no card or blight
but past that light
the wrapped boards
in clear clear sight
but barely tease
the truth is out
and left untouched
the steps whisper by
to find another flight
