where missing was of late
found the slightly chill
of fallen drops
that washed the view
and washed is true
that daring breech
of fallen feet
could colder come
or freezing leave
thin sheets of black
dark icy slick
three four more
the fallen flakes
lighting upon
the lines of urban neat
the paths are gone
the steps are near though
this late into
the sleepy night
the lights
fuzz and flare
and ah for once
they disappear
