where wishes stray
by tanner brockwell

where wishes stray
the missives of
another day
the words well worn
engraved yet livened
how was this
words from future past
they built the sky
stones above
stones to last
what was molten burning
fashioned like some incredible find
the refuse
the saffron melts
was that a good year
burning so bright
like passions in the night
