the words flow
by Tanner Brockwell

the words flow
like water falling
in the rain of drops
in the torrents of
a typhoon swoon
a sway a way
a wise sky filled
with overflowing
torrents fell
like pieces
of the sky
fell from on high
oh so low
they mingle
rivulets into rivers
streams in the midst
buoyant billows
the inflated way
the swelled welling
dance upon the crest
and tumbling do
run and jump into
the waters are a world
between
the shore and sky
though seldom seen
reefs and fins of things
that swam beneath
dashing waves

in the haze of night

2009/04/01 in poems

in the haze of night
by tanner brockwell

in the haze of night
that led to certain dawn
a foggy shroud
and buoyed treading
the clinging tightness
insulating preserving
spat the salt water
goggles tight
cradling semi weightless
a touch to hold floating
watery isolation
the circular horizon
ghastly read
silent for shannon
so visual
home was buried
in a watery tomb
ironies of phonemes
colliding
that apex of a small and great
destination unknow
forget you were there
you are the cog certain of wear
the mesh of timely events
trained to submerge
and then drift upon the stream
some are otherwise
